More baby pics...
OK, REALLY quick posting since I have to run into town. The other day we were playing with the camera and Pi was strangely interested in it (or else the mirror directly behind me). Here's some pics:

The "well you really aren't normal, are you?" look.

The "troubled intellectual" look.

The "I'm happy, you should give me a cookie" look.

The "I'm still happy about something" look.

So then we decided to give him some food. Oooh that was fun. Hahahaha.

The moment of truth is close at hand.

A little concealed, but that semi-nasty look is the way he reacts to the first bite everytime.

By the way, that was the very very first feeding of solid food. March 27th. He had some soy slop (I don't know the real name). I'm sure it is some Internationally accepted way to torment your children. He never looks like it was a good idea. We gave him some pea mush the other night and he was a little less excited about that.

Anyway, on to sitting up. Heres some pics:

See, I'm a big boy.

I can touch my toes, Dad. Can you?

Anyway, we are off to do some errands in town and check out some of Joe's new computer.

More pics
Well, once again a quick post. Here are some pics from the last week or so.

Pi's Great Grandma Lakeview stopped by and he figured she might taste good.

Apparently she did...

He was very into exploring things so he tried out a watch while Raymee supervised.

Of course, there is always time out for a quick swat at a toy.

Later that night he was checking things out so I took some pics.

He wasn't sure about that flash. He likes the lights in the office, but not sure about bright quick lights.

On the upside, when you are little you don't get bogged down with details.

Not sure what he was doing here, but his hand was very important.

He was laughing and rolling over a bunch that night.

Eventually, you just have to return to the creature comforts (I'm sure he would consider his thumb one).

In the odd news column, during his last doctor visit Dr. Matt became concerned about his Y shaped butt. At the top of his butt crack it makes a Y instead of just ending. Due to risk of a tethered spinal cord (apparently odds are in the 1 in 5,000 range, but a little greater for boys than girls), little Aiden will have an MRI sometime in the near future. If his spinal cord is tethered he will have to have a surgery not too dissimilar to the one that Joe had recently. Although, we will be going to Portland for it since there aren't alot of pediatric neurosurgeons in the valley. Either way we may have to watch it over time as well. Apparently the spinal cord doesn't grow as fast as the rest of the body and if it is attached to something down below (tethered) then it gets pulled all cockeyed and creates numerous problems for the person. From what I've been finding on the net if you find this early it isn't a big deal, but if you wait until the kid is older then they may sustain irreversible damage. I'll post what I know when we have the MRI.

The Y-crack saga unfolds...
OK, my child's body has been scanned in numerous directions and with various bits of equipment. We did the MRI today. Very interesting process. They actually gave us a big huge MRI sheet of Aiden's body in 4 different views. I'll see if I can find a way to scan and post it.

In the meantime, we know nothing, but I'll post what I think I know when I know it.

What does the Y really mean???
Well, we still don't know squat. I'm pretty sure poor nurse Carrie at Southern Oregon Pediatrics is probably thinking we should quit calling now. Oh well. Eventually, we'll get some info, I'm sure of it. But for now, we are still waiting.

Still no info on the MRI
Well, its been 5 days now since the MRI (of course, 2 of those were a weekend and blah blah blah). Yes, I'm up too early because of changes to the project I'm working on. I need to make sure there aren't any problems on the server before I'm even out of bed. Just rebooted it for kicks a second ago. Anyway, in the meantime, here are a few pics of Easter and Aiden...

Dawn got a new hair cut.

Aiden has been ripping out Dawn's hair on a daily basis. Now that's been partially fixed.

Pi decided to have a chat at the table.

No, he wasn't really sitting up on his own completely unsupported 2+ feet off the ground where he could fall and injure himself. His mother is under the table holding him up.

Dawn bought some entertaining Eastery "photo shoot" stuff so that we could have pictures of Aiden's first Easter. It's always interesting working with kids since you'd figure they would be easy to distract and get them to look at you. However, that seems to also work against you since they are easily distracted from looking at you and they start paying attention to everything else.

When your kid can't talk, he doesn't necessarily know you want him to look at the camera

So much for the basket!

Look mom, I don't have to sit up, I can lean back against the wall like this...

When you're zero, you eat stuff... Sometimes you eat everything you can pick up...

...no matter how many times people take it away from you.

Anyway, we did get a few good pics of him in his little Easter gear. It is always amusing to set up these little "photo ops" and see what comes out of them. I'm noticing there is starting to be a pretty good size collection of Aiden pictures up here.

We had Easter here last week (or whenever it was) and here are some photos from it. Hopefully, Ra will forgive me since the ONLY picture I have is of her trying to find her kids and she has an interesting look on her face (which seems to be pretty standard when it comes to Rachel getting in front of my camera - hahahaha). However, first we have an interesting skill from Alyssa.

Uncle Richy want a prize?!?!

Alyssa, Matt and Lisa discuss Easter prizes

Aiden checks out Susan's camera while Angie tries to entice him with an egg.

They both look a little constipated, don't you think???

Kylie, Joey and Mila gathering Easter prizes

Kylie starts to run out of room and has to stop to re-organize her bounty

Aiden gets grumpy so Angie sees about making him fly. The other kids review their spoils.

Did you ever wonder what happened to all your Easter candy when you were a kid? I'm sure Joe is trying to help his son avoid diabetes by consuming a portion of his candy.

Mila and Brian open all her Easter eggs.

Apparently there was one little egg-size bottle of bubbles and Joey was very happy he got it.

Alyssa shows off her Easter egg.

Remember I mentioned that Rachel always gets screwed when it comes to my camera?!? Well here is that "look" I mentioned before. FYI, notice the egg on the fence and the teenager moving this way in the background.

Notice same teen and this time no egg!?!?

Anyway, Easter was a blast. I mowed the lawn yesterday and as far as I know the mower didn't catch any interesting left over egg parts.

Once we know something about Aiden's MRI, someone will post it up here.
