Tami wins the 2004 Baby-Popper Races
Tami Fuller today announced a solid victory in the 2004 Baby-Popper Race. Tami had a baby girl at 7:02am cleanly beating Dawn Watson to the finish line. Dawn, still determined to finish the race, will be visiting the hospital this afternoon to put the finishing touches on her personal victory as well. Tami’s baby girl was 7lbs 0oz and 19inches long.

Progress...
From some of the e-mail I'm getting, I better get this posting up soon. Yes, Dawn and baby are doing great. Actually, this C-Section was a lot easier on her. I attribute this to both having had the previous experience, and the hospital staff knowing that she gets sick to her stomach easy.

The baby (Keenan Wayne) was born at 2:21pm. He weighted 8lbs 4.4oz and was 20.5 inches long. He has a little less hair than Aiden had and it is lighter than Aiden's was, but they look a lot alike. I haven't time to stick pictures up right now. Dawn is still at the hospital at least until tomorrow and last I talked to her they were moving her out of the birthing suite. She indicated they may let her go in the morning sometime before 11am. She's been up and around and able to take a shower and do all kinds of stuff.

I've finally got the car seat in and Aiden looked at it for the first time tonight when he refused to go to sleep and I had to drive him around for a while.

I'll get the photos ready and let Dawn post them tomorrow when she gets a chance. I'm in the middle of a huge push to finish some new web products and have stuff ready for demos.

Keenan pics, etc
Well, everything has been moderately mellow here at the old homestead. I still don't have my office completed and my child has been born. Although, I will get to do some extra work on it soon. I did take a few days off to just hang out with Keenan and Dawn. I know everyone is probably interested in pictures so I'll get those up.

Here I am playing crazy doctor guy

Here we are still in the OR

Here is Dawn and Keenan doing the recovery thing

Here we are reviewing the picture (care of Clari)

Here is Dawn and Keenan after they got home.

With the exception of the hospital visit, most of this has been similar to Aiden's birth. Keenan has jaundice and his bilirubin levels are in the mid 16s (very similar to Aiden). He sleeps next to us in the co-sleeper and wakes up a lot in the middle of the night wanting to eat (very similar to Aiden). The differences are that Keenan is mostly quieter than Aiden was. Aiden would let out these screams that would wake a really sleepy dad from a dead sleep and get him to just about freak out. Keenan makes noise, but just none of that "something is dead or dying and you need to get out of bed now" kinda noise.

Doctor's visit
We went to see Dr. Matt yesterday. Keenan is 7lbs 11oz and 21.5in long. He had another bilirubin test to see how his jaundice was doing and it came back 15 something. On the upside, that would indicate he is improving. While we were there he was also circumcised!!!

In the meantime, Aiden stayed up at Dan and Malika's house with their 2 kids. I'm told he ran around with Jonah and laughed himself nearly out of breath. Almost hope he didn't get my lungs since I'm usually out of breath when I do anything remotely aerobic.

More little cousins for Aiden and Keenan
My brother, Joe, and the woman who might as well be his wife, Mindy, are having another child. Mindy is about 21 weeks along now and should be popping this one in mid August (if memory serves) so Angie will have someone who has a birthday around her. They know this one to be a boy, but that's about all we know at this point.
